Studio NOI is a collaborative design practice, realizing projects for cultural and academic institutions, publishers, brands, and individuals. Our work is fuelled by a keen interest in content and exploring the ways in which design can reflect today’s changing realities. For each commission we seek to establish a dialogue with our clients and collaborators in order to clarify a project’s needs, constraints and challenges. Depending on the nature and complexity of the project, we invite photographers, developers and other specialist practitioners to join us as partners. Believing that the material itself plays a critical role in a design’s impact, we often take on an advisory role by initiating further research or art directing new ways of presenting content. Our aim is to create work that invites curiosity, offers a fresh viewpoint, and which lasts.
At Studio NOI we combine experienced design practice with new approaches. Simone Koller and Corina Neuenschwander, both graduates of the ZHdK, Zurich, and Werkplaats Typografie, Arnhem, worked for studios in Zurich, Amsterdam, London, Paris and Tokyo, before founding Studio NOI in 2014. Jalscha Römer joined the studio in 2016 and worked with us until 2024; Daniela Spack worked with us from 2020 to 2023.
